Arts and Art Studies
As part of this program, children will learn and explore the world’s finest works of fine art, architecture, statuary art, and drawing.
The subjects of the classes span across the basic knowledge of art, starting from prehistoric drawings and invention of paints to contemporary art.
During these classes, children will learn about famous artists, styles, trends and specifics of art from different historical periods and cultures, as well as explore and try creating art in different styles on their own.
Each class consists of theory and practical part, so the children will be able not only to gain knowledge about the arts of the world, but also put this knowledge to use – try to be artists, painters, sculptors and architects themselves.
Theory includes presentation of art studies in a way that is easy to understand and consume even for the youngest children. To enrich the program, we are using photo and video materials; engaging stories, and music, just to name a few.
The practical part of the class includes self-expression of children’s creative nature using various techniques and materials such as coal, red chalk, watercolor, gouache, pencils, and pastel on paper of various density and texture; painting with acryl and oil on canvas, cardboard, and paper, and many other methods and combinations of techniques and materials.
This class is for children 6 to 16 years old.
Class duration is 115 minutes.
